Studio one midi monitor12/18/2023 Studio One can only send clock signals not receive them so the arranger has to be the slave. Consult the manual for your arranger on how to lock it up to an external device. Probably midi clock as that tends to be more common. It does depend on what the arranger will prefer to see incoming. You have Midi Clock and MTC (Midi Timecode) options. Remember you will also have to send some sort of sync clock to the arranger keyboard in order to keep it in sync with Studio One. In your case it would simplify the arranger keyboard only sending once. It is cool for capturing midi on two channels at once etc. I have three hardware keyboard controllers present in my system and two of them are one on top of the other so I can play two handed. Each one would have the same keyboard controller selected but now you set channels 1 to 4 there on each track.Īnother option is to create 4 input Keyboard controllers and only set the input channel to one midi channel but this seems like a cooler option. Now when you go to a track and select that keyboard as the source the midi input channel now appears to the right and you can select channels 1 to 16 there. Simply leave all those channels selected but down the bottom of that dialogue box is the Split Channels option. What normally shows there are all the midi channels eg ALL. Use the keys, pads, buttons, or encoders to see their corresponding MIDI data values. Select your MIDI device (s) input and output ports, and click OK. Open the Options menu and click MIDI Devices. Open the Input Monitor window by clicking View and selecting Input Monitor. Go there and select the keyboard you have setup as the device sending into Studio One. MIDI-OX (PC) Double-click the midioxse.exe file. The Split Channels option is in the External Devices midi setup.
